Host InstitutionsAim High recognizes the role of private education in improving the educational opportunities of the economically disadvantaged. The private school, indeed, has a public mission. John Burroughs School and The St. Louis Priory, with their traditions of training students for a life of useful community service, offer their facilities to Aim High St. Louis. In addition, John Burroughs donates office space and support staff.
John Burroughs School
John Burroughs is a coeducational, college preparatory day school (grades 7 – 12) where a liberal arts education balances academics, the arts and athletics. The school has small classes where students are deeply engaged in learning in an atmosphere of mutual respect among faculty and students. Community service and environmental awareness, objectives set by the school's founders in 1923, are integral to the Burroughs mission. The school also puts a premium on ethics, diversity, student government, outdoor education and activities such as the American Field Service and the International Model United Nations. An academic support program to assist students with writing, math and study skills is available to students.
St. Louis Priory School
